Stuttgart to Sign Winamax Deal
VfB Stuttgart are close to signing a contract for sponsorship with the French poker online and sports betting operator Winamax to be featured at the top of their jerseys during the 2023-24 football season, in line with Kicker .
Winamax boasts more than 7 million users registered, is predicted to pay 6.5 million euros per year in a year to VfB Stuttgart, half of the amount Mercedes-Benz Bank used to contribute.
Discussion about the potential successor to Mercedes-Benz Bank as the sponsor has been in the air, as social media has been filled with speculation. Alexander Wehrle, the board chairman had earlier teased that it wouldn’t be the case with a Chinese betting business.
It is yet to be determined which logos will be used on the kits, however, the most likely choice appears to be that of the “Winamax” name, as shown in the mock-up in the image below.Alongside Winamax becoming a sponsor of the front of the shirt, Stuttgart are also looking for another business to get their logo prominently displayed on the sleeves of the jersey. The identity of this second partner is still to be determined and likely to be revealed over the next couple of days.
