Athletic Club has collaborated with Castore, their kit manufacturer to create a special kit for their 125th Anniversary. The kit is named 125 Heritage Kit and “honors legacy passed from generation to generations”.

The club received backlash after unveiling its 125th anniversary kit. Fans were not happy with the design. The shirt was criticized for being modern, not enough traditional and too trendy. Athletic’s original home kit consisted of half blue, half white stripes.

The Castore Bilbao 125th-year shirt represents a new interpretation of blue shirts worn by the club since the 1960s.

In the 1960s the Club changed its away jersey from half-blue to half-white to blue, due to the increasing popularity of monochrome kit and television broadcasting.

Castore Athletic Club 23-24 jersey is completed with blue shorts, red socks and white socks.

Athletic has had an anniversary kit before. The centenary kits of 1997-1998 had a more surprising look.
