Is the club about to announce a partnership with Nintendo, the legendary Japanese videogame company? No, absolutely not.
Chelsea is in desperate need of new sponsors for their shirt. Premier League blocked Paramount+’s deal due to rules for broadcast partners. Rumors of a partnership with Stake.com circulated, but were ultimately denied after protests by fans.
CHELSEA POST NINTENDO VIDEO
Chelsea released a video on Thread that shows an old Nintendo Game Boy playing a soccer game featuring a lion. It ends with “it’s 90s stuff”.
A mock-up that won’t be happening
Thank you to @TheyThinkKits, for creating the mockup.
Footy Headlines is pretty certain that Nintendo will not become Chelsea’s sponsor. The video only hints at the fact that the new Chelsea kit 2023-2024 will take inspiration from the 90s, and in particular the 1997-1999 Home kit.
The new Chelsea home kit 2023-2024 is expected to launch very soon. It will likely be without a sponsor.
