The Jako 1 home shirt features a red-and-white checkered design. FSV Mainz 23-24’s home shirt is a departure from the previous solid-red shirts.
The typical Mainz checker pattern (introduced for 2019) is found inside each checker. It features dark red on white and light gray on red.
Mainz used a kit that was almost checkered in 2021-22. The last time a proper checkered pattern was used, it happened in 1996-1997.
